where's the best fish&chips?.Do they serve it with white vinegar or traditional malt vinegar?10years ago it costed me 7 pds.;-{ . Now?

City: London

Constituent state: England

Country: United Kingdom

There is a chip shop called Faulkners on Kingsland Road which is excellent. Buy it to take-away. Shouldn't cost you more than seven quid!
There is a nice place near Victoria Park on Lauriston Road called the Fish House. Again, take-away and go and sit in the beautiful historic Victoria Park. If you want to go right to the bottom of Portobello Road on the West side, check out George's down near Golborn Rd.
Yes ,I'll surely try the Fish House. But do they serve it with white or malt vinegar?
I will tell you where the best fish and chips is in Ledbury but not in London.
Why? Have you seen the size of the plaice? Get it? Well London have many good ones but never as special as Tandoori Nights Indian Take away 01531 635047.
The best my man. All the best
I've missed London since > 10years;but I'm still curious why U'd recommend Fish&Chips from a tandoori take-away shop?
Have you read my answer? I am not in London therefore I could not give you the best answer possible, but if one day you are around this amazing town (never say never) why not try what I just told you?
All the best
Dear James,
I believe Masters Super Fish is pretty up there w the best in London....not the cheapest - c £10 - but definitely extremeley good. Address is 191 Waterloo Road, London SE1 8UX. There is also the Seashell in Lisson Grove...
In national competitions the best fish and chips is normally NOT in London..... Ingrid
Thkz Ingrid,Yes I did the 1 @ Waterloo Rd. & must admit that I do not remember if it's MastersSuperFish, but it 's good; still in my memory 8-) . Out of London, I was invited by a client to Gloucester before returning to London; & the Fish&Chips ARE good. Are the national competitions well publicized? Perhaps U can make it into another tour itinerary :=} .Just my 2cts worth . Cheers to HAPPi eating !
Hi James,
I may say the best fish&chips in Aberdeen is the one in the corner of Holburn Street. Sorry I forgot the name. I'm not sure how they werve it but the price is pretty consistent.
The Golden Hind in Marylebone! Prices are higher now though.
