Apartment for lease near UBC area in Vancouver?

I'm looking to rent a 1-bedroom apartment. My budget is $1000 a month. Please give me your suggestions.

City: Vancouver

Province: British Columbia

Country: Canada

To answer you properly I first must advise you that I'm not located in Vancouver, I'm in Montreal, however, you have two choices that I see. One you could try to find a rental agent via the Internet, or you could look in a Vancouver area News Paper, again via the Internet. I'm sure you will be able to find what you are looking for. There is just one other thing, Vancouver is extremely expensive to live in, or rent. Finding an Apartment for a price of $1000.00 a month may be difficult, depending on the size and location of the apartment you desire to rent.

Good luck
i would check craigslist or

but i must tell u that basement suites in east van run as much as $800 nowadays, rent is very $$ in vancouver, and will only be getting worse as olympics are coming next year

i would suggest looking for anything along our skytrain routes, and/or the 99 b-line which is an express bus to ubc

You could also go
or check the local community newspapers, such as “Westender “ or “Vancouver Courier”. Those free newspapers are available taken in the libraries. Another way is just go around the area where you are interested in and call the manager to make an appointment. Actually, I rent my current place in this way.

In Vancouver city, to rent a suitable place within your budget is not really easy because it’s expensive, besides now there is under construction for Olympics. You might rent an one bed room apartment for CAN$700 in a low-rise building and $900 a in high-rise building in New West, but you’d probably have to pay addition 30% even more for the same conditions in Vancouver city.

I think if I were you, I’d rather to live in the suburb, such as Burnaby, New West, or Surry somewhere is convenient, near skytrain, and not too far from Vancouver downtown.
