Question

Hi, I'm interested in doing some Singapore city walking tours in Jan 2011, anyone know who to contact? Thanks

Interested in culture and architecture, history and religion. Ideally I would like some routes that on a particular theme with time included to stop and look at the places we see. I would want the guide to be very knowledgeable about the area/buildings/history as well as enthusiastic.

singapore is a multi racial nation, the language is english, nice food, shopping. we can help u and your family with transport, hotel and guide tour. place to see is Raffles landing site, the merlion the icon of singapore,Raffles htl,St Andrew church.Tham huat keng temple, Chinatown, singapore flyer, little indian, malaya hertiage centre.
Walking tours in Singapore city in Jan.2011 will surely be quite a wet experience as it'll be in the midst of monsoon season.
But armed with a simple brollie will find us in good ambience , despite the showers ;=} .
Temperature in our tropical region will range 24-32 degrees C .

We can have time to look for all other areas to track Singapore's history , buildings & architectural zones;we can explore from our founding periods throughout 19th century into the current stages of continous development into the modern 1st world status that Singapore will be proud to show.

We'll need at least half a day for each walk-about at the founding site , 1st settlement areas in chinatown, kampong Bugis & little India ; for visitors to soak in the sight ,sounds , ambience of food & fun galore.
These will showcase Singapore's development in culture, architecture & history.

Religious tours will be another full day event that has to combine local transport with domestic walks in each respected place of religious worship.Followed with vegetarian or non-vege meals; that may cover Singapore's 4-7 major religion living harmoniously together.

Suggested tour[time permitting] will be complimenting the religions' orientations :- housing development ;from urgent requirements in the 1960s'; to stable needs in 1980s'; to comfort satisfaction in 1990s' ; & the present but most modern lifestyle hubs :- to live, work & play in waterfront or riverside environment :=} .

We'll be most proud to show U around,enthusiastically ;-} .
Cheers 8-)
