I am planning to visit Istanbul for few days next week with my wife and son for tourism. I understand Taksim is good place to stay....

...Please let me know which Hotel shall we stay in. I prefer a suite or triple room.

Country: Turkey

If you want a 5 star hotel, best is The Marmara or if you looking for an affordable apart hotel I recommend 3T Residence
Istanbul is a very large n sometimes complex city. Taksim seems to be a good option but do you mind if I ask you what kind of trip you are planning? Sultanahmet region also could be a good option for a family trip. Enjoy, Melis :)

Hotel The Marmara
Right in the middle of Taksim Square, next to Atatürk Cultural Center and shops and nightlife along Beyoglu's Istiklal Caddesi. Good views all around.

Hyatt Regency Istanbul
Fine mod-Ottoman building with nice pool, good location near Taksim Square and Nisantas shopping and nightlife, next to Divan, Ceylan. Few views.

Istanbul Hilton Hotel
Grande dame of Istanbul hotels set in 5+ hectares (13 acres) of hilltop gardens, fine views, great pool, 10-minute walk to Taksim or Nisantas shopping and nightlife.

Ritz-Carlton Istanbul
Istanbul's newest luxury high-rise between Taksim and Dolmabahçe (unpleasant walk to each). Pool, some good views, but best views are from leased apartments on top.

Sumahan on the Water
An exquisite, stylish luxury boutique hotel, designed as a labor of love by a husband-and-wife architect team, right on the Bosphorus with exceptional water and city views. More...

Swissôtel The Bosphorus
Excellent Bosphorus views (overlooking Dolmabahçe, smooth service, 15-minute walk to Nisantas shopping and nightlife, but mostly you'll go by taxi.

Mavi Ev (Blue House) is just excellent, with smooth, friendly staff, modern comforts, and a location—right across the street from the Blue Mosque—that is nothing short of spectacular.

FAMILY-RUN BOUTIQUE INN: Sari Konak Oteli is really elegant for a small, family-run inn: tastefully furnished, with all the conveniences, and Byzantine ruins in the tiny terrace garden.

OTTOMAN INN: Dersaadet Oteli is on quiet Kapiagasi Sokak just a few minutes' walk from the Blue Mosque, with a refined Ottoman boutique-hotel ambience and friendly staff.

VALUE-FOR-MONEY: More than you bargained for: the Apricot Hotel is convenient, comfortable and friendly, and the owner is out to make guests feel they've received more than they've paid for.

Galata Tower

Sure, Taksim is the centre of the european part of Istanbul. There is a very good hotel placed directly at Taksim Square. The hotel is named 'The Marmara Istanbul'. It is a very comfortable hotel. You have to know that it may be a little bit expensive.
