Hi, Dependsso much on where in Brazil you will be. For an English guide to the Recife, Olinda and the region (Northeast Brazil) check out
Sooo many... Follow a religious procission, see Ciro de Nazare, Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes (this one on boats, in many cities by the sea), participate in Ayauasca rituals, go learn how to prepare and drink "chimarrão"(mate leaf tea)the traditional way in RioGrandedoSul state...
where in Brazil u will be?
Brazil is a big country, with a mix of culture and influences.

The answer to your question is: depends of where you want to go.

In Rio, of course, the carnival is a wonderful experience. Also, during the year,
there's a lot of parties called "baile funk" (a mix of american-black music with
the samba in a party similar to a rave) that can be a good experience

In northeast of Brazil (Recife, Joao Pessoa, Fortaleza), beautiful beaches and some regional parties. In north of Brazil (Manaus, Belém do Pará), the brazilian-indian culture and Amazon Forrest are wonderful.

Then...enjoy and discover!
the local people likes to fishing in the mangroves what is a experience to make and do.
There are so many things.Go to a bar,but not a tourist bar and try to chat with locals even if you don't speak portuguese. You will find that the Brazilians are very friendly.Go to a soccergame preferably Maracana stadium in Rio.Brazilians are soccermad.Try to participate in barbecues. This will be a little more difficult, because you will have to make friends with some locals but it can be done. You must eat the national dish Feijoada.Ask at the hotel desk where you can find the best feijoada in town.
Go to the beach on weekends especially when you're in Rio.
In some cities there are daily street markets where fruits,
vegetables, meat, fish and many other things are sold.Just observing the hustle and bustle is great fun.If you are single, flirt.Brazilians love to flirt and it is accepted here.Go to a place where you can dance samba.I wouldn't suggest going to a baile funk.Fights break out sometimes and
it's too crowded. If you really want to get in touch with Brazil try to stay at pensions which are family run.
This has to be planned carefully though, because some pensions are just not good.Have somebody teach you how to make a caipirinha. It's the national drink and easy to make.Just about any brazilian will be eager to teach you.Oh well, I can go on and on.Hope to have helped you a little bit.If you need further info get in touch with me
Best regards Roland Meyer Paraty Brazil
Many things and depends where and what you would like , but I suggest you make this exact question in the hotel where you are , they will definitly be able to tellyou acording to the day , monthe etc what is going on and out of the usual beaten track

What the city would you like to visit? It depends the more visited cities are:Bahia,Rio de Janeiro,São Paulo...
Bahia is the very interesting and has beautiful beaches and landscapes, Rio de Janeiro has the most famous beach of Brazil and beautiful girls with their "bikinis" and guys too, Rio has "Carnival" too a traditional national culture and São Paulo state is a professional and business center of Brazil!
In Fortaleza you can dance the tipical "forró pé-de-serra" in some places that are not in the mass touristic route. Find some local to help you.
A travel suggestion would be going to Icapuí. A small city plenty of beaches, not yet structured for mass tourism, no big resorts and hotels, I recommend the small "pousadas" and fishers´s houses for bed and breakfast. 200km from Fortaleza looking to the east coast.
The most exotic thing to do in Brazil is to visit the Pantanal (Google). It's even unknown to most Brazilians.
Locals around RJ & SP also like the mountains, so as to get away from beach-stereotypes.
Rio > Petropolis > Ouro Preto > Paraty > Rio is such a trip. Which I offer! For more specific details contact me, "Jimmy" at

In Brazil, only locals do their day-to-day activities.
I have no knowledge of something that a tourist rarely experience.
But to know the fun things to do, it depends on where you are planning to go. Brazil is a big country and I can assure you it has a lot of things that you can find only here.
So, tell me where you planning to go and I'll give you the places and things to do there, ok?
There are several good things to do! Walking, dancing, several cinemas, theatres, museums and a lot of beautiful girls! have a nice travel!
This question should be more specific, Brazil is huge with many different regions and peoples.

One thing all Brazilians do is eating farofa.
One tip, "congo" dancing with jongo singing, only locals do at the small fisherman villa of "Barra do Jucu" Vila velha ES, look for it on youtube, very old cultural tradition world famous from this beautiful beach neighborhood, lot of living roots culture. If you liked the idea come watch, learn and make you own congo's instrument like "casaca" and "tambor" here from the old master and have lots of fun, surfing, kitesurfing, paragliding, dancing and meeting great people and rich culture, contact me!

Hello, as you havent chosen a city i think Rio is your best destination. Here has everything thing to do& is quite near to the pantanal too if you wish to go on a real adventure. One thing that im glad it dosent have are the SHARKS that they have in Recife!!! If you have seen the film Jaws, its a bit like that but the Bull sharks& Tiger sharks there are not rubber ones!!!
Hey,
Locals will always be happy to show you their culture. You can go fishing to catch lula(squid), go trekking in on the trilhas(trails) and watch the sun go down with a caipirinha watching people play football on the beach. After which you will be ready to have have a quick shower and then head out to a good club to dance and drink very weak, very cold beer for hours on end...getting back home in the early hours.
There are no secrets, just a will and a way to have lots of fun.

Na fortaleza, há muitas praias bonitas e do desporto diverção. e muitas muitas coisas bonitas
I am from Maranhao so I would recommend you to see Lençois Maranhenses or the wetlands of Cururupu which is part of the Amazon Forest.

I am living in Rio and I would recommend a deep exploring adventure in Niteroi, it is just amazing!
