Leslie, your request is a bit ambiguous as the rates are seasonal and also packages differ by type and class of hotels. if you may let me have your expected expenditure estimate (budget) and i will hook you up with a good package.

Hello
I highly recommend Bluebay Beach Resort for 5* Beach Hotel and Sun set Beach Bungalows for standard beach Hotel. Rates will actually depend on the time of travel, contact me for the rates.
Because you need a lomantic weekend, i sugest The restaurant at Mtoni Marine, its next on the beach next to the stone town. Expect the histolical, classic, magical paradise. Its full of colour, shining beach, and nice people.
i would like to answer your question fully if only you can clarify your mode of transport, hotel or lodge class, type of room and the meal plan...thanx.

Low seasons Rates is Euros 413 per person sharing. The rates are applicable from 1/04/09 - 31/05/09
Hey, I am aspecialist for TZ,and so for Zanzibar. What I need to know is; your budget In Zanzibar there is hospitality for every Pocket. You may want to stay in abasic guest house or in a 5* hotel like Zanzibar Serena, Zamani Kempisky or you may wish to spend the weekend in Prison Island or Chumbe Island .All The latter are in the Zanzibar Archipelago. You are actually spoilt for choice in "Zenj" as we call the place.
is my email and I am a safari consultant for : , A reputable tanzanian tour opeator
hi,

there a cheap fun hotel called narrow street hotel. As the name suggests it is in the narrow zanzibari streets. But the sea and restaurants are nearby. There is a french restaurant just past the Serena, by Mji Mkongwe it on a roof top, wine list impeccable! Reservation not neccessary.
We have a friend living in Zanzibar who is working as a tour agent. She will be happy to help you and direct you to truely unique places - whether basic low-budget, or more luxury. She can also arrange (or advice you on) transfers and excursions.
I can send you her contact details any time - or send me yours and I will forward them to you. Even though the period that you intend to travel seems far away, it is peak season so it will be good to make arrangements as soon as possible.
Enjoy Zanzibar!
Sorry - typing error. I mean that I will be happy to forward your contact details to HER - just send them to me.
Hi, Zanzibar is really a nice place to go! i have been there guiding groups. If you want a quite place with a pool and next to the beach i know a place that you can stay for less than $150 a double (two people). They provide transport to and from the airport and incase you need any sightseeing and guide you can get very reasonably. Please let me know if interested or you can email me on i give you more details.
Thanks
Regina
Email me on with all your travel details and al get back to you ASAP
Sorry can't help on this one unless i hook you up with a specialist on that other side, hope you enjoy your vacation anyway.
Wawa! you're planning ahead, ah? Christmas and new years 2010 is a long way off.
But you're budget of 150,000 or 200,000 is plenty. I doubt you'll spend that much for 4 nights. Obviously it depends on where you stay. 1 night in stone town and the other 3 in a resort might be nice. I personally would rather stay in stone town all 4 nights. The beach resorts I've seen in Zanzibar are no different in any way to the resorts in Kenya. There's nothing to set them apart. therefore, there is no reason to spend all the extra money for travel. However, Stone Town IS unique and set apart, even from old town Mombasa and Lamu
Haha. Just realized i didn't read your "Christmas and into the new year of 2010" very carefully.
Ok, so it's not that far off. but you still have plenty of time. Also i might suggest posting this question to all the Tanzanian or Zanzibari Localytes.
Hi,kindly let us know your budget, and i can answer further with hotel rates etc.thanks Steve
