Hi
I live in London and know that area fairly well, near Albany street is Drummond street, it has a great buffet restaurant called Chutneys at around £7/ head also that street has some great Asian curry houses, slightly further out to Angel Islington we have a great vegetarian buffet restaurant called Indian Veg 92-93 Chapel Market, London N1 9EX020 7833 1167‎ at £4 / head. Great food and really affordable. The Road Chapel Market has great food shops and food stalls, definately worth a look for affordable eats!!
Enjoy your stay
Hi - well there are pubs and pubs. Some are chain pubs with poor beer choice and poor food which maybe cheap or maybe expensive. Bit of a lottery. Why not try a pub that serves real ale and has some atmosphere and is a bit different. The Bree Louise‎ 69 Cobourg Street, London NW1 2HH has real ale and some interesting and reasonably priced food - pies at £8 - even specials Mon - Thur at £5. Sit there the whole evening and soak up the atmosphere - drink very slowly. website. Enjoy
Hi
Sometimes not expensive means poor quality and not so pleasant atmosphere.
I recomend you:
L'Albufera Melia White House Hotel, Albany Street, NW1 3UP

Please visit this site and you can choose from a variety of diners, places to visit and hotels.

around regent's park:
on baker st. there is a pizza express, where they do lunch buffets for i think £7 pp. that includes pizzas, salads and pastas. then also if you like chicken, there's Nandos with decent prices and fair portions (they also have veg options). and then pubs as well if you're interested, there's a wetherspoons bar (next to baker st. tube station) where they serve good cheap food and a globe pub (on the oposite side of the station) if you feel like something traditional.
London is great for food. You can get great pub food, it's true, but also international cuisine at inexpensive prices. There is chinese in China town near Picadilly, lots of Thai restaurants and of course curry houses all over the place. Great take away food too, kebabs and the like. Be adventurous, enjoy yourselves.
