Hi there,

Unfortunately there are no shuttles anymore.... But on you can even book it accordingly to your flight. Return ticket will 18 euro.

Enjoy your stay :)
hey, thx for the answer Mariam...

I was affraid it got canceled... I'm trying to avoid using cause I find the €18 to be a bit of a rip off :] Any other suggestions you could make to make it cheaper? I know I could use the public transport busses MIA-Valetta-Cirkewwa and pay less but the problem is my return trip to the airport cause my flight leaves at 6.30 AM :/ And as far as I know there is no public transport at that time ...
Hi Michael,

It is relatively very easy to do this since Malta is very small :) so what i suggest is this -
-either take a taxi directly from airport to cirkewwa ferry (around 35mins away) - it will cost around 20 euros i guess
- or else take the bus from luqa (where the airport is) to capital city valletta (bus no. 35 if im not mistaken) and then to cirkewwa take bus number 45 - it will cost you around 3 euros i guess

if you need any other help me plz let me know! enjoy ur stay when ur over ;)
Hi Michael.

There is a airport transfer bus you may wish to us. This is a private coach company that provides inexpensive drop of to all hotels on the island including to the ferry terminal. You will need to book direct online with them, or they have computer terminals in the baggage collection area where you can book on line also. It is not possible to buy tickets direct from them, it needs to be done through internet for the moment. the web link is , once in the site you need to press the airport transfer service button on the left hand side, to book your tickets. Price is Euro 7 each way.
The other option is to book a Taxi, Cost for taxi to the ferry can cost approx Euro 30-35 each way.
the best option is to get a taxi so you dont have to worry it will cost around 25 euros
Yes it is possibile to go from airport directly to cirkewwa . If you like we can offer transfer services 15 euro , unless you would like to wait for buses which are very unreliable.

The cheapest way to get from the airport to Gozo is by local bus. I wouldn't call them unreliable particularly, just a bit unpredictable as to whether you get a modern bus or an old 'bone-shaker'. First get the Number 8 bus which leaves from outside the airport terminal and goes to Valletta bus terminus. Then get a number 45 or 145 bus to the ferry (at least an hour to get there). The bus times are on this link:

Note that the Summer timetable starts on 16 June! The bus jouney will cost around 2 Euros!! so very cheap.
Depending on where you are going in Gozo you could continue by bus or take a taxi from the ferry port in Gozo.
I notice someone else has posted the ferry timetable, but as you will see on my link, the earliest bus Mon to Fri is 0630, and 0430 on a Sunday, neither of which will get you to the airport on time. Your only options are a taxi or stay in a hotel in Malta somewhere. The first option will definitely be cheaper. It's best to book a taxi and agree a price in advance. I would suggest the 25-30 Euros would cover it.
Have a great holiday and let me know if you have any more questions.
I suggest you should take a taxi but it would cost more than 20 euros. But at least you will be at Cirkewwa in around 30min and not in 1hr30min!
