Hi Christina,
Budapest is the spa capital of Central Europe.

The Rudas Thermal bath organize evening disco in the Turkish time pools.

For night clubs pls visit the magazin web site: or
Have a good time in Budapest.

hello!
There's a great open-air bath I would recommend you, it's call "Szechenyi Furdo", a few minutes walk from Heroes' Square. Entry costs about HUF 2000-3200, depending on which ticket you buy.check the website here:

concerts, nightclubs...there's quite a few of them :)
check this website for a general info:

my personal favourites are the "A38" party-ship, or "Merlin" theatre with more progressive electronic parties...
Hi,

The `Szechenyi Thermal Bath and Spa` is very famous and beautiful!
Look at the photos:

Their services:

Contact:

If you visit the bath during the week, you don`t need to book in advance. If you are planning to visit during the weekend, expect it to be full, and it is a good idea to book a massage or any other service in advance. For the entrance to the bath area no need to book in advance, you can get in always.

I would recommend the `Mammut Shopping Mall` for the party, inside of the mall there are 3 night clubs :) You can hop in and hop out these 3 clubs. Take a look:

If you are looking for something really posh, then go to the Creol Club, it`s pretty expensive:

These are clubs with normal music, it`s not rave or techno :)

Unfortunately there will be no concerts the days you will be here!

General info about Hungary:

I hope you will have lots of fun!!

Cheers,
Xenia :)
Hi There!

I would recommend Széchenyi Thermal Bath or Rudas Thermal Bath (Széchenyi has open-air spa section and indoor spa section, massage etc....Rudas Thermal has lots of international night spa disco parties, yet during the day it is a normal spa).
You can also check them for yourself here:

About the upcoming programs, you can check (it is in English). I also can recommend Mammut shopping centre, which is not only a shopping mall, but it hosts some of the top-notch party places of Budapest and some very good restaurants (something like an all-in-one place).

For walking sightseeing tours around the capital:

For any other info the below site is up-to-date and very informative:

Hope you'll enjoy your stay!

All the best,
Sophie
Budapest is the best city for relaxation spas in Central Europe.

Or the Rudas Thermal which is a well-known Turkish time pool.

For night clubs and entertainment I can offer you web sites: or .

Enjoy Budapest and have a good time.

Dear Christina:)

it'S nice to hear that you come here.
The spa what Andrew offered are all nice, Széchenyi a bit more popular for the ypung foreign tourist, but all of them are in nice areas also.
About the nightlife pls let me know what kind of music, concerts are u intrested in and i 'll try to help:)
PLs let me know if u have any more questions:)
have a nice day:)
Favorite spa of my guests is Széchényi of course. But there is always crowd in it. There are so many and nice spas also in the countryside. If you have enough time I recommend those.
Check them
Hi ! well one of the most beautiful and popular among tourist is the Gellért Spa. It is inside the Gellért Hotel or the other is Király spa. You don't need to book in advance. If you tell me what kind of concert you would be interested in or what kind of music you like it will be easier to answer your second question.
Hi Christina,

I would definitely recommend the famous Gellert spa ( the Buda side of the city right at the foot of the Gellert hill- you might have seen pictures of it in the movie I spy ;). This spa is part of a hotel, but you will be allowed to enter even if you are not staying in the hotel. The entrance is on the right side of the building (close to the hill)
On the other side of the city you'll find the charming Széchenyi bath (), which is a very "exciting" spa. With a lot of smaller and bigger pools/rooms, you almost feel like you get lost in there. And their open air pool is open to public all year around. It is a fantastic experience.
Please be aware that the staff (mainly retired ladies) do not speak English there, but they will try to mime everything to you. ;) Spas have their own rules and sometimes it feels like you are in a labyrinth, just follow the signs and your instinct ;)
Oh and btw, you don't need to book anything, you just walk in and purchase a ticket.

As for going out. Really depends on what you like, I can recommend you the places that I like :) If you like karaoke then I have a place for you: it's called Véndiák, right in the centre - they also have a modest menu of typical Hungarian dishes, so you can try that along with some singing. Unfortunately, they don't have a website, but here is some info about them:

Again, let me warn you to double check the bill - this specific place has never tried to screw us over, but some places might try with that.

For the concert: if you like jazz, try this place, they are charming, speak English: , if you want something "less serious" :) browse this site: .

Hope I could help, enjoy our beautiful country!
Judit

ps: I need to warn you also about this: do not get into a cab on the street. Always call one. I have been using taxi 2000 for years, they are very reliable: 00 36 1 2 000 000.
Dear Christina!

Spas and Bath:
There are a lots of spa in Budapest and Hungary.
If you would like to find a spa in capital, I can offer you Széchenyi Spa (). This is a very popular spa for foreigns and locals also. Pools outside and inside, thermal bath, saunas, turkish bath.
An other favorite spa is in Buda, close to Gellért hill, called Gellért spa (). this is a very exclusive bath in Budapest rather for foreigns. Be carefull, because in Gellért bath there are gender differenciation (for example: thursday is for women).
But also can offer Rudas bath (), which is located the foot of Erzsébet bridge on the Buda side.
A new theme park opened last november on the disturb of Budapest, called Ramada Aquaworld ().
This is the biggest covered aquaworld in Europe.

Locals:
Depends on how exclusive club would you like visit in.
The most popular club in the moment is Club Play in the 11th district. Resident DJ's services the music.
In downtown you can find many of clubs, worthy visit Soho London and Club Seven, these clubs are in the same street (Nagymező street).
There are a lots of interesting, dancing club in Mammut mall (Dock Café, Kaméleon, Tabu, Jam Pub, Promenad). So, if you would like to visit 5-6 clubs in the same night, this is your place :)
Usually entry for women is free in every clubs.

Concerts:
április 18: Florian Meindl (UK/D) in Corvintető ().

I hope that I could have helped for you.
If you have any quaestions, please don't hasitate to write me again.

Best Regards,

Bridget
Hello Christina,

Ok, I can see I'm the the only one answering you but I might be able to give you some further help. I reccomend Széchenyi where you don't have to book in advance and if you fancy you can enjoy Thai massage (you should contact them wheter you need to book). I think Gellért is famous and the building itself is nice but I bet you don't want to swim in a pool that is full of dirt and the other thing is that the system how is works is still way too socialist. Like the changing rooms and the staff is quite depressing (I can tell you I have experience). Rudas is good especially if you want to have party while you are bathing. The music is kind of house there though.
Look at tshis website

it is for expats living in Hungary, the website is renewed every week with the actual infos.. you can find here anything you want... have a good browseing :)
Wow!
Thanks ! You are all amazing!
I ll be staying in Art Hotel so I guess I ll give it a try there!

I am into electro, electronica and dance music.
Thank you all once again!!!!
Dear Christina,

I would defenetely recommend Szechenyi Spa which is in the City Park and the largest spa in Europe. It has 3 pools outside and 10 pools inside with different temperature from 28 to 38 C. Sauna, steamrooms. Gellert Spa is also nice, the decoration is wonderful, 2 pools outside, 2 pools inside. Both renovated in the last year(s). The oldest Spa is Király Spa, was built by the Turks in 1566. But check which day you can go, there are different days for man and woman.

For local pub i would recommend the Szimpla Kert or Instant or Csendes or Castro Bisztro. These are also visited by tourists but by local people as well, these are where i go normally to see my friends as well.

In Godor Club you can see some concert, check

For city tour check , they have walking tours, bike city tours and also pub tours.

Wish you will have a good time in Budapest.

Maria

Please find the web address below.

Enjoy your stay in Budapest.

I think the Szechenyifurdo spa is the best, can reccomend to anyone. You don't have to book the ticket just jump in any time, open until 7pm.
Hi Chris,
I think the best spa is Széchenyi Bath. It is in the City Park in front of the Great Circus. U dont have to book tickets...
Visit this club:

Anyway, when you are already here u can find any program in Pesti Est (this is a free program magazine available at any movie theatre and in restaurants e.g. at Iguana...(Mexican-American Bar&Grill, 5th district,16 Zoltán Street).
Have a nice holiday,
cheers,
Melinda
Calispera Christina,

As I see someone already gave you the names of the best spas in Bp. You should not book it in advance, especially not in April. Gellert spa is under reconstruction now but its open.
If you want also fun, Rudas is the best, the disco is only on week-ends.
Concerning night clubs: Old Man's and Irish Cat are very good, the others are worth visiting only on week-ends.

Have fun in Hungary
Annamaria
Hi Christina!
The biggest and the most popular baths are Gellért and Széchenyi. You dont need to reserve in advance, you can just go and buy the ticket.
Budapest offers a lot as for entertainment, there is a wide range of clubs, pubs, bars. As you arrive in the city, there are some program magazines available in English everywhere (airport, hotels, restaurants) and you can check the actual programs.
Have a nice time!
Gabriella
hi there,

you can find spas everywhere over the world. not to mention overcrowded nightclubs... pushing around the infos about different spas in budapest is nonsense. You know you will find one but are you sure that you find the best one for you?

Why dont you come and meet with us in Budapest and we will take you to a custom-planned day-off in the city, showing you the best of the best, taking you to a spa which satisfy you the most and at the end of the day we take you out in the real budapest nightlife. dont just go somewhere and do what other tourists do... enjoy the city as a local would do, that's the best way to discover budapest..... having a good day or having the maximum out of the day? its your choice!

seeya!
This is why I ask info on where locals go :)

Hi,
I agree with Gabriella Farkas. Have a nice time in Hungary! :)
Hi Christina,

Best spas in Budapest: Széchenyi Bath, Hotel Gellért.

U can find concerts: , pestiest.hu

have a good time!

Marianna
You don't need to book in advance for any of the spas unless you want some specialised services. I would recommend the Szechenyi baths because of the beautiful architecture and the variety of pools indoors and outdoors.
For more information go to
Dear Christina,

The others have already sent you answers that I would also do, but anyway you may like to know some more details to decide.
Spa Gellert is in a very old elegant hotel, it has a swimming pool part and a steam cabin part with thermal water that is separate for men and women. Local women usually do not wear swimwear in the steam cabin and thermal spa part, only "tourist". :) It is a very nice experience trying it in the traditional way, only with a sheet around your body!
Szechenyi is a much bigger, but also an old, traditional thermal bath, with the pleasure of open air bathing. Locals play chess on the tables in the water and it is open until 10 o'clock in the night. It is next to the famous Hero's square.
Spa Rudas, the old Turkish bath has evening hours, I think on Friday and Saturday, day open at 10 in the evening and close very late in the night.
One more thing, is that there is no need to buy the ticket in advance.
Regarding nightclubs, tell me, what kind of music you like, so that I can advise you the best place to go. Personally I would suggest you to try the so called "ruin pubs" that is the alternative side of Budapest, but it so typical Budapest and so unique. So many kinds of people you can meet, and usually they have concerts as well! Let me know and I will send you more info! Barbara
Hi Christina,
As I see you have received some good idea where to pass your holiday in Budapest. If I have to vote I vote for the Széchenyi Fürdő, because it's very nice architecturally (Eclectic-style building, featuring mainly Baroque and Renaissance elements), it has 3 nice outdoor pools, at least 10 indoor thermal pools and the wide selection of sweat rooms, cold baths and saunas. You don't need to book it in advance, you can go there up to 22 o'clock in the evening. Have a nice time there, it's very nice.
Where to go in the evening in Budapest?
It's up to you. I collect some website, where you can find some info about the nightlife of Budapest:

If you accept I also offer you some restaurants where you can try the Hungarian gastronomy:

Hi!

I suggest you should go to the Aquaworld Budapest.
It is one of the biggest indoor water theme parks in Europe.
But you can relax in the massage pools and in the sauna world:)
Check the official website:
Szécsenyi spa and for night club go for Alcatraz
If you are looking for a bath I would join my colleagues below to recommend Rudas, Gellert or Szechenyi. If you are looking for SPA, there are many hotels offering professional spa treatment. You can combine your accommodation with pampering. Spa tourism is very popular in Hungary. You might like to take a look at our services, so you can plan ahead your short stay.
Hello Christina,

Visit

Regarding concerts and nightclubs - pick up a local program guide at any of the venues, hotels or movies on your way and choose from hundreds!
Szechenyi Thermal Bath, Rudas Thermal Bath, Gellert Thermal bath are the most popular. If you wanna go to a real Spa, then go to Mandaladayspa.
Hi, a great resource for spas is: . Many of the spas are listed here, with direct links to their websites. No need to search for each spa individually! Hope this helps :)
Hi!
I can recommend the same, as the others said earlier for the spa:
Széchenyi fürdő (Széchenyi spa) which is the most popular, or Gellért Spa (which belongs to the Hotel Gellert)
or you can make a tour among Spas here:

About programs you can find details here:

Have fun!:)
