Tell me when you came and than I can answer! if you'll be here soon is stil winter. And also is important to know were you intend to go in the north is colder
Hi, now is still winter...so sometimes is raining and a bit cold ( 7- 12 degree)...
ciao Angela, you first have to tell us when u intend to come here.

p.s. do you know Michael Beckwith, the founder of Agape?
Tell us when and where you go. If you go into the moutains you need other clothes then when you will go to the sea or a lake. And if you go now it will be different than when you go in the summer
u need cloths when u come to pisa but when u come to me uneed nt cloths
Ciao Angela,
I am glad you are coming to visit my beautiful country.
To reply to your important question you should be more specific about when you are coming and which cities are you visiting. Anyway keep in mind that Rome, Florence, Venice and other main cities means a lot of walking so do not forget to wear comfy shoes. When visiting churches always ensure that you dress appropriately, no shorts or sleeveless dresses. By not being properly attired you run into the risk of being denied entry.
Remember there is a strict dress code at the Vatican. For both ladies and men, knees and shoulders must be covered. For men, no shorts of any kind are allowed.
Ciao

Stefania gave some really good information. And yes, as everyone has said, it depends on the time of year and the location. My first trip here was in summer and I was mainly in southern Italy. It was HOT! Shorts and short sleeved shirts, light cotton clothing, sandals, a bathing suit, a hat... all of those things were great! Now it's winter and it is snowing at surprisingly low altitudes, even in Naples, so an entirely different type of clothing is required.

No matter what you wear, be sure to bring a camera. So many amazing and beautiful things to see here!

Best of luck on your trip. :)
Well, Italy is the fashion capital of the world, so if your goal is to fit in, dress very streamlined and DON'T wear white tennis shoes!
If is still cold now, so dress warm, but the summer can be HOT, esp. in the cities, so linen is a must.
It is also important to note that you will likely be visiting churches, so dress modestly. If you are visiting the Vatican no shorts, and shoulders must be covered.
Hi Angela,
it dipends by season and location. So let me know it and then I can help you!
Ciao!
This period of the year is probably the coldest everywhere.
In some areas you can yet enjoy a good sun and temperatures starting from 5 up to 12 degreees.
It's also important (and interesting) to know that you can easily escape from art cities to mountains where to enjoy the snow (from Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples, Reggio Calabria,...).
It only means few hours by train/bus.
Let me know if you are planning to visit the South, I'ld be happy yo help you!
Anyway, have a nice trip and enjoy our "Belpaese"!!!
Hi, i think it dipends by season and location. Now is cold, but in march the temperature can increase!
However is never too hot in spring....

Dear Angela,
You want to know what to wear on your trip to Italy?
Assuming that you’ll go on summer, you can expect to find temperatures from 77° Fahrenheit to 86° and even 95° Fahrenheit in most part of the territory of Italy (unless you will go the Alps mountains where the temperature gets surely cooler, mostly during the night.
Suggest you just bring with you comfortable clothes and shoes. Please don’t forget that if you want to visit the churches inside you will have to wear trousers or skirts up to the knee and you will have to keep your shoulders covered.
hi Angela, as everybody answered already ,it all depends on the season you're coming. in anycase,as always when travelling, confortable clothes and shoes are a must.....
your question lacks details like: when are you coming, what do you want to see, which part of our country you want to visit, where are you from? be more specific. Even in Italy weather tends to change according to the season....
Hi, when will you go there? now it is still cold, but also depends on where in Italy you go to, in the south and around Roma its more warm than the Milan area.
if you give me more details i am happy to inform you more exactly.
Arie
It depend on the season you are coming. My best advice, is to wear the most comfortable cloth you have. We are having a worm weather in most part of the year, so take it easy...
Casual is good. Always.
That's absolutely right, as locals says - depends on time and place of your visit, listen to them!

If you come now....A coat, if you come in the next 6 weeks it is warmer so t-shirts are fine until about September/October in most regions.
