Hi Norma, Gloucester is north of Boston on the coast of Massachusetts, in New England. If you know of "The Perfect Storm"- this is where the film was made. Springfield is about 125 miles or 2 hours 20 minutes west, inland from Gloucester. You can easily come for a daytrip to Gloucester from Springfield. I would suggest staying longer of course:) You could go on a whale watch- in your life you must see a whale! Just amazing! You could spend the day at one of our beautiful beaches; or go kayaking or biking or hiking. We have wonderful maritime museums, mansion tours and even a real castle to explore! You'll get hungry, so plan to have a seafood dinner of locally caught lobster, clams, scallops, shrimp or fish- yum! If you're into art, you'll enjoy strolling through the many galleries on Rocky Neck, the home of the oldest working art colony in the US.
I do not do individual tours, but you could rent a car and do a self drive as we are easy to get to, and because we are an island you can't get lost- really!
Whatever you choose to do- you'll have a wonderful vacation here in Gloucester!
We are located in Truckee, California.

springfield is in Western Ma. You can see what life was like for Early American Settlers. The Parks and State Forests in the Pioneer Valley offer endless opportunities for outdoor recreation from hiking and biking to swimming, picnicking, boating and activities to enjoy with family and friends. Catch a symphony performance, visit the home of a true literary great, and then a tour a bustling gallery filled with the works of local artisans. Travel back in time to Colonial days at Historic Deerfield or Old Sturbridge Village. Explore outer space at the Seymour Planetarium at the Springfield Science Museum or treat your senses and visit Yankee Candle Village, the company's flagship store.
