hi there
im not visited romania .but i made some research and info about the place.
why should you go to Romania? The straight answer is because it is one of the most beautiful countries of Southeast Europe
"Romania has majestic castles, medieval towns, great hiking and wildlife…"
"No journey to Eastern Europe would be complete without paying a visit to Romania… Outstanding landscapes, a huge diversity of wildlife…"
Romania offers a rich tapestry of tourist attractions and vacation experiences unique in Central-Eastern Europe: medieval towns in Transylvania, the world-famous Painted Monasteries in Bucovina, traditional villages in Maramures, the magnificent architecture of Bucharest, the romantic Danube Delta, fairy-tale castles, the Black Sea resorts, the majestic Carpathian Mountains, spas and much more.

thaTS ALL MY REASEARCH FOR YOU

thanks n happy trip
Hi!
I don't know where are you from (that counts a lot) but I'll be honest to you. Romania is indeed one of the most beautiful countries in the world. That is because of its natural beauty. The mountain side of the country is the best to visit, the Danube Delta, The Black Sea in the summer, also a lot of old castles and buildings. In Bucharest there is the second biggest building in the world built by Ceausescu with people from allover the country, and it's called The people's house.
But you have to be aware (and that's why I've asked you where you are from) of the fact that in the cities it's not so clean, people will not smile at you as often, you will not find the customer service that you would maybe expect. If you know how to deal with these kind of things then you have lots of reasons to visit Romania.
I'm from Romania and I've lived in a foreign country for a long time. If you have any other questions let me know.
Good luck!
Romania is a really nice place to be at.
Some of the pros would be that you can visit a ton of nice and unique places at only one country but some of the cons are that it's a dangerous and dirty place.
Am currently living in Romania and one of the things that bothers are those stuff. Other than that its really easy to go all over the country on train or by maxitaxi. They have a really nice and well organized mass people commuting system.
Anyway if you come around get in touch to give u a tour, or just to hang around and show u some places.
Look at my Localyte page and find out about few things:
Romania is an incredible country, it has a lot of opportunities for tourism, but you have to tell me what would you like to see. If you want to come visit Romania for the first time you should have at least 2 weeks because it's a big country with amazing landscapes. Tell me what are you interested to visit here, and i will do my best to help you, have a nice day, Andreea :)

Why visit Romania??? I have been living here for 9 years now so I have managed to see a lot of this country, this is what I would recommend from personal experience...

There are loads of reason but I guess it depends on the kind of destination you are hoping for. It appears from your photo you like to snowboard, in Romanian there are various resorts for snowboarding and skiing, Poiana Brasov, Predeal and Sinaia are some of the best and the accomodation and facilities at these places are pretty much of European standard now. Poiana Brasov is probabaly the most well known and most expensive.

If you are looking for Sun, sand and sea the Black Sea coast is a great place to go. If you are into the more commercial bars and beach parties then head to Mangalia or Mamaia or any of the 'planets' along the coast Saturn, Neptun.

IF you are more into the Hippy trail then head way south to the border and you will find Doi Mai and Vama Veche, both of these allow you to camp on the beach for a small fee and some of the beaches there allow nudity. There are loads of festivals too in Vama Veche through the summer months, it is a short Maxi Taxi (mini bus) ride from Mangalia. They both have loads of great restaurants and bars stiuated along the sandy beaches.

If you are looking for a more historical trip then head to Sighisoara, Tirgu Mures, Brasov, Bucharest, Sibiu. They all have old towns and momuments and churches etc that are really worth a visit.

Wherever you go in Romania there is always something to see, whether it be the mountains for skiing in the winter or trekking through gorges and round lakes and camping out in the summer. Or the towns for their beautiful architecture in the daytime and up beat social scene at night. Or the Black Sea coast for sun festivals and the whole beach scene.

I would personally recommend Romania in the summer and it is worth taking a few months out to travel around, then you can experience it all. Staying in local villages can be great as the people are so friendly and welcoming. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you don't plan too hard and just jump on a train at one border and see where the mood takes you as you make your way to the opposite border.

One thing I can gaurantee is that you will meet loads of interesting people over here and see some amazing places... I have!!

Hello,
Romania is a big country with an old history and culture. From east to west and from south to north you'll be amazed by the cultural differences and by the multitude of the traditions. The landscapes of the mountains or the beauty of the seaside and Danube Delta, old castles, famous arhitecture styles, churches and museums, all these gems need to be discovered.Iasi is an important city of the country, full of history and culture. Known as the city of the 99 churches or the city of the 7 hills (like ancient Rome), Iasi is inviting you to visit it. Pubs, bars, hotels, spas, museums, cathedrals, churches are willing to receive you. North of Moldavia and Bucovina shelter the famous unique painted monasteries. Personal advice: always have with you romanian money : leu (1euro=4,2 lei; 1$ = 3.1 lei)

HI,

You've probably received tones of different explanations as to help you out,but if you have decided to visit Romania it would be my suggestion that you don't necessary choose the most popular places(you know the ones mentioned in all the travel guides)and try to look for other points of interest that are as well beautiful and will give you the chance to see and feel my country.
If you wish I can help by giving you some suggestions and tell you all about my favorite places to see.

Have a sunny day!
