hey,
i would say on foot hun:D get a map and go,well,at least that is what i did when i went to london for the first time;) and dont be afraid u may get lost, cuz people there r very friendly just ask them.. of course there is an another option,a more clever one: to get a bus in the center of london which goes around all the most famous places .. good luck;)
I would suggest buying an Oyster card and an A-Z or good map and being adventurous and travelling around on buses, particularly on the upper deck.
London is quite big, so choose a particular area to walk - for example walk along the Thames from London Bridge to Waterloo Bridge. Or around the street markets, Petticoat Lane, Brick Lane, Columbia Road on Sundays. Or Camden.
If you want museums etc go to the V&A.
Travel by bus is cheaper than the Tube but maybe not as quick.
Have fun. It's a great city.
Hi, I'm not from London (I'm from Muscat - Oman) but visited London and had great time.
What I did is, obtained bus and underground map where tourist attraction indicated (this can be found from Airport and all underground stations), plan the rout you will take and the attraction you will visit, there are several routs with different attraction.. all of these can be completed in 2 days only.
Have great time in London and wish to visit London again next year

Just like Jane advised, well worth getting a "Pay as you go" Oyster card, which you can use so much in the underground or in the buses around London. Of course you will have to use your own two feet too!! Good luck and have a great time!!
Hi there.
Can I tell you to ignore those that say Buy a metro Underground ticket.
What can you see there?
My best sugestion and the cheaper way (I always do this) is to get yourself a London Map and walk to the closest places the places to far to walk go by bus at least you can see some places while going there.
Good luck and enjoy it.
Relax as most of London people are all stressed up (always on the run and not appreciating the wonders they have at street level.
