City: Amsterdam

Province: Noord-Holland

Country: Netherlands

Following the tourist route to the 'Museumplein' takes you past a lot of things to see in Amsterdam, such as a square called 'de Dam' and the 'Vondelpark' and some nice bars and clubs to visit later on :)

Weekend arrival... Welcome to our beautiful country soon with your father and may both of you combine business & leisure comfortably. :)

Lodge within the inner center of Amsterdam and you both will find easy access to the shops, canal rides and night spots (only for you I assume...?) and you will leave after your stint less than Amsterdamnd but with a great treat to yourself for arriving here for business cum leisure... the place where the world whispers mostly on...
You are fortunate to arrive soon and have a whale of a time starting off around Kalverstraat and try reaching Beethovenstraat near the Rai, another famous landmark for many prominent exhibitions.
Just walk anywhere near the city centre and you will see most of the best places. The night outings really depend if you are gay. Either way, there is plenty of choice. Get the free paper when you arive for ideas on those particular nights.
Enjoy but dress warm. :-)
Hi Naamzzy,
What I would advice you is to take your father to the Dam square and then visit the Madame Tussuad's museum there. If he is not interested in wax figures then you may take him to the Van Gogh museum or Rijksmuseum which are not too far from the centre. However, do not miss the canal ride no matter what else you choose. It is totally worth it.
For your personal leisure time I would say you go along the main street leading to Dam square and on your way I'm sure you'll find something that you like - small bar, nice club or a crowdy disco.
Enjoy your time in the Netherlands,
Sorry, wasn't able to get online for some time. You have arrived and I hope you, as well as your dead, are having a good time in AMS!
