Hi there,

Welcome to Calgary! It's a bit of an awkward time of year weather-wise so you can't take advantage of our world-class golf courses, but there's still a lot to see. My list (making unwarranted assumptions about your budget, timeframe and transportation options) is:
1. Visit the Calgary Tower. The view is magnificent
2. Visit the Calgary Zoo. A new penguin exhibit just opened and is getting rave reviews.
3. Take a day trip to Banff. Trust me.
4. Visit the Glenbow museum (if that's your cup of tea)
5. Take a day trip to the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller. World heritage site for dinosaurs

I'm sorry I got this so late. I wonder if you have already visited us? If you haven't I thing Phil's advice is sound. It depends on what you'd like to do. I think a walk along the river and into the Kensington area on the NW side is really nice if the weather co-operates. Of course there are many things along Stephan Avenue which also easily connects you to the Zoo via transit.

Where else in the Alberta will you visit? Drumheller is interesting but I think you might enjoy a night or two in Jasper and depending on the time of year there are numerous events going on around the province that I could point you to.

Let me know, if I'm not too late, and I can get quite specific on my suggestions....For example if you are going to be here in the spring/summer I know a great farmers market south of Calgary that combines a nice drive a walking tour.

Safe travels,
