No I don't think it's a better idea.
I suggest you go to the Moroccan SAHARA
I agree with him
in the Saharan south your child can see extraordinary things that are destined to disappear with the time
I am here if you have need
Best regards from the Sahara
If your son is very young he might not enjoy the long distance travelling to the Sahara. It is, however, well worth the journey and you can break the travel and overnight in e.g. the Gorge of Dades or Toudra. Driving from Marrakech to the Sahara includes some breathtaking scenery and of course you cross the High Atlas mountain. It is also possible to visit the film studio in Ourzazate en route - something you son will find interesting. And of course the highlight for him will probably be a camel ride in the desert!!
the answer diepnd of anotehr question , what's teh age of your son?? and what's his hobbies ?? and then i could find suggestion for you
in fact it depends on the hobbies of ur son.but im gonna show some stuffs to do:u can take him to the park to play some toys and also to the zoo cauze young boys like zoos and u can take him to the cinema...ect
hello,

definately the best experince you and your son can have is a camel trekking in sahara desert. i invite you to visit us in Erg Chebbi dunes for a couple of days. 1 night in hotel with sahara drum music, mint tea and delicious cuisine from the region.

another night after a camel trekking into the dunes until you reach a lost oasis inside. overnight in nomad camp.

welcome.
greetings,

in morocco many things are exotic to westerners and specially young people as all seems so different.

some ideas of what your son might enjoy in Morocco:

snake charmers in jemaa el fna marrakech main square;
visiting essaouira fishing port;
listening to live gnawa music in khamlyia village in erg chebbi dunes;
baloon ride over in marrakech, try Ciel d'Afrique ();
atv moto quad ride in fint oasis, try kedi aventure ();
camel trekking in erg chebbi dunes sahara desert, try auberge du sud ();
visiting oukaimden mountains near marrakech;
berber village in tamtettoucht, try auberge bougafer () for live music and perfect landscapes;
interacting with barbary monkeys near azrou, they are in the wild. bring some fruit along with you so that he can give it to the monkeys;
ouzoud waterfalls day excursion out of marrakech try ligne d'aventure agency ().

uff what else... ah enjoy Morocco!!!
i think this is a good idea but you need 2weeks to enjoy all this
As I wrote in my page. It would be a nice idea to bring your son in a local hammam. He is going to have fun with the water and refresh himself meanwhile you will enter in this fantastic "feminist" moroccon world that you never will see as a tourist outdoors. Moroccan ladies in the hamman are complited amazing. I am an spanish expat living in Rabat and I usually bring my 2 littles ones to hamman. They love it and I enter more in this incredible and strange moroccon society.
As I see I am an Art specialist so don't hesitate to contact me if you pass by Rabat. Have a good trip. Silvia
i think is better to start from Marrakech visiting Jamaa lafna than you can go to Ouarzazate and Zagora ,and it amazing to go to desert because this days the weather is very nice
