Mombasa has many different nice hotels at affordable rates, ranging from the expensive ones to relatively cheap hotels.A good example is Jacaranda beach hotel, diani, leisure resorts just to name but a few. This hotels are in south coast.North coast has a majority of hotels sarova hotels, bamburi beach hotels, bobs club, mamba disco, etc. Most hotels are the south coast are more private and are best for romantic gateways or nice and quiet peaceful holidays but the north coast is more hip and is good for the young.
There are many nice places in Mombasa to visit. Myself i prefer south coast though it is a bit quiet. For accommodation, it depends with your budget. There are nice cheap hotels, and also expensive ones. There are also nice places for safari's, outdoor camping etc. I can arrange for you all the required details as you wish. For the budget-cautious travelers, there is Bamburi Beach Resort with the cottages and self-catering apartments - they are available at discount price and for larger groups like yours, plz check Bamburi beach is usually an interesting and active place itself, with lots of activities, such as camel-riding, souvenir-shopping (sellers are displaying their African treasures directly on the beach), glass-bottom boating, and some street food tasting like casava and potato chips made in front of your eyes, grilled corn, sweet potato and casava. Lots of fun! When it comes to clubs and discos, it is better to stick to well-known ones, such as Mamba Disco, Tembo Nightclub and Bella Vista. Enjoy your trip and don't hesitate to ask for assistance, if u need one.
