Bird and butterfly watching

The Arabuko Sokoke forest which is nestled beside Malindi and Watamu parks is rich in beautiful and rare species of birds. The air is filled with colored species of birds and butterflies and monkeys jumping from one tree to another.

Mida creek is also a wonderful birds' spot for all bird watchers. When you are at this point you can get sight of flamingoes, white egret and kingfishers. Many birds would have a stopover at this place when they are migrating.

There is also Kipepeo Butterfly farm where the local community has decided to produce butterflies for sale in international market.

Snorkeling

The coastal region has the some of the best snorkeling points in Africa. The warm waters, minimal waves and deep reefs with lot of marine life makes this region be the most favored by snorkelers. We at Executive Solutions Kenya understand that there are many snorkeling spots in Kenya but we take our snorkelers to the two best points.

Best Snorkeling spots;

Watamu Marine Park.
Kisite Marine Park (Island of blue dolphins).

Fishing

The Indian Ocean waters provide favorable conditions for a variety of fishes. Many international deap sea sportsmen and fishermen have visited Kenya simply to fish. Fishing in Kenya is done at Mombasa and its environs, Kisite in south coast and in Watamu and Malindi in north coast. At Kisite Mpunguti the coral reefs have supported variety of marine life. Here you find trigger fish, moray eels, angel fish, butterfly fish, groupers, parrotfish, wrasses, scorpion fish, puffer fish, damsel fish, rays, snappers, green sea turtles, hawksbill turtles, dolphins and seasonal humpback whales and whale sharks.

Malindi boasts a year-round sailfish population thought by many as being the best in the world. The fishing in Watamu is spectacular, with Marlin, Sail Fish, Broad Bill, Tuna, Wahoo, King Fish and Shark species available.
