Question

HOW MANY PANTHERA SPECIES CAN WE FIND IN KENYA AND HOW MANY CAN YOU FIND AT THE NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK?

Location

Country: Kenya

Answers

Kenya alone loses approximately 100 of its 2,000 wild lions every year due to killing by people. At this rate, lion experts believe there will be no more wild lions left in Kenya by the year 2030.

Lions kill a lot more giraffes than was formerly assumed. In Nairobi National Park, for instance, no less than ten were brought down from January 1965 to May 1967, nine of them adults and one very young. A good number of victims have been recorded since then, and I have also seen giraffe kills on Mount Marsabit and in the Samburu and Amboseli reserves.
