HI there

First of all - do you mean 2 nights/3 days? It's a bit unusual to spend 3 nights and 2 days, almost impossible :-)

If you do truly have 2 days I would see the following things:

Saqqara, Giza, Egyptian Museum, Old Coptic Cairo, Khan il Khalili and Citadel and in the evenings I would go to the Pyramids Sound & Light Show, go up Cairo Tower and if the days were right, go to the tannoura show at Wekalet el Ghouri (it's only on 3 nights a week). If not I would pay the money and take a night dinner cruise on the Nile :-)

If you have an extra day I would go to Alexandria or fly to Luxor and spend the day seeing the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temples, fly back in the night. Depends on your budget, Alex would be much cheaper :-)

All of that can be easily arranged into a nice package for you at reasonable cost.

Best wishes

Hi,
Thankyou for asking this question.
Day 1.
Pickup from your hotel after breakfast and travel to the Giza Pyramid site where you can visit all 9 pyramids and the Sphynx. It is advisable, and fun, to see the site on either a camel or horseback,as it would take you 3/4 hours by foot and would be very hard on the feet and legs, the price for this ride is negotiable at the site, be prepared to bargain.
Next drive a short distance to Saqqara and the Step pyramid of Zozer, the oldest pyramid ever to be built. After this a short visit to a local carpet school where you can watch the carpets being made and purchase one if you feel like it, they are either made from silk or wool, obviously the price varies greatly, it depends on the size and materials used. Then take lunch at one of the many local restaurants before going to Memphis, the ancient capital.
Return to your hotel.
In the evening why not see the Sound and Light show at Giza pyramids, with lasers and commentary in several languages, not all at th same time !!

Day 2

Pick up from the hotel and travel Downtown to visit the Egyptian museum and Tahrir square, where the recent uprising began, then onto Islamic Cairo with its mosques and Citadel, from which there is a panoramic view over Cairo, and on a clear day you can see as far as the Pyramids at Giza.
Later tour the Christian quarter or Coptic area and visit the Hanging Church and Coptic museum. Finally, time permitting and tiredness, take a walk around Khan el Khallil market, just for the experience, return to your hotel.
In the evening why not take a two hour Nile dinner cruise, with open buffet and entertainment.

If you need to know more about the above with prices and accomodation do not hesitate to contact me at
