Ten days! Boy, that's short...
First tip: decide which places to visit, and make sure they are not too far away. If you want to see Machu Picchu for sure, then limit your trip to Cuzco and surroudings only. You could stay a few days in the Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo is nice!), a few days in Cuzco, and if you really want you could combine it with Puno. But don't try to squeeze in too many other detinations; you would not enjoy it. Peru and its people are too beautiful to be visited in a hurry, so narrow down your destination ;-)
If Machu Picchu is not necessary, then a whole country opens up for you. Wow, so much to see. You could do the Northern coast (ruta Moche they call it) and combine it with Chachapoyas or Huaraz; perfect combination (in both cases) of ancient culture, living culture and nature. And the jungle, also has so many great places... Peru = wonderful: good luck with planning your trip!!!

Cuzco and Lima should be in your intinerary. How would u like to go to Cusco? By plane or by bus?
If u go y bus u can pass by Nazca Lines and Arequipa. Bus to arequipa is 30 dollars. And from Arequipa to Cuzco is 10 or 15 dollars. You will spend your 10 days in there.

If u go by Plane you could have another oportunity to meet Paracas and Ica (near Lima south) or maybe Huancayo and part of jungle in the east ( a very cheap intinerary and not common) or if you want to taste good meals you can go north of Lima in Chancay (2 hours). Just let me know what would u like to do. My pleasure
Hello
I suggest you to visit the south of Peru, you can spend about 3 days in Arequipa visiting Colca Canyon, the beautiful city and then travel to Puno and spend about 2 days and know the turistic islands of Lake Titicaca, the other days you spend in Cusco, visiting the Sacred Valley, the old city, and the beautiful Machu Picchu.
We can organize the trip, but for more details write to: ,
Peru is a small country with MORE places to visit and things todo that you would believe possible. Yo answer your question you´d have to be more specific about what you want to do, THEN I could help you on planning your 10 day trip to my FABULOUS country.

After this start touring the main square of Lima where you will find; The Government Palace, The City Hall, La Casa del Oidor, The Cathedral, The Archbishopric and old Fountain.
Visit the Cathedral's museum (where you will see Francisco Pizarro's tomb ) It's S/.10 soles per person and includes professional english guidance inside by special church guides.
At noon, see the famous "Cambio de Guardia" in the Government Palace. If you miss it then you can see it again at 5pm. Then visit the Reserve Bank Museum to watch precolumbian art, popular art and 19 century paintings.
For eating you can choose wether to have peruvian food buffet at La Muralla Restaurant or having food from the north of Peru (mostly seafood) in El Fayke Piurano.
After all this, you can also choose to visit this places: San Francisco Church, Santo Domingo Church, and Inquisicion Museum.
