What are places worth visiting in and nearby SamutPrakan , I stay in Samrong ( till June )?

City: Bangkok

Province: Krung Thep

Country: Thailand

ampawa floating market is famous for traditional & cultural travel style. however, if you want to enjoy fresh seafood, don hoi lord is favorable and worth enough to go.
Here's a few: Bang Pu, both nature park and seaside restaurant:
And Ancient City:
A museum at BangPu.
Crocodile farm
snake farm
Navy Museum
And Water markets
The Samrong's areas are Erawan Museum (3 elephants' head), The Ancient Siam (Touring almost in Thailand in 1 day), Bang-Nam-Phueng Market (The ancient market), Phra Samut Chedi Temple, Assumption University (The university with European architecture), Bang-Pu seaside view and so on.

Also you can go almost anywhere in Bangkok by catching buses which very cheap cost. Or, also to go to Pattaya by 1 and half of hour from there, or go to Amphawa Floating market by van within 2 hours, or where elses which near bangkok easily (Lopburi Province, Nakorn Nayok Province, Nakorn Patom Province, Karnchanaburi Province, Ratburi Province, etc.)

If you would like a tour guide, you can contact me. I stay nearby Samrong around 10 kilo from there. If it's a weekend and I'm free, I'm glad to be your tour guide and teach how to take buses with cheap cost. ^_^
Hi Supas answers are good, then why not just stay for Songkran Day according to the local Songkran Festival of Raman (Mon) people. Songkran beauty pageants parade, freeing birds and fish, and traditional folk entertainment such as Saba (a pitch and toss game), Thayaemon (a musical composition of Mon) and Mon dancing.
