foz do iguaçu is extremely in the south of Brazil, maybe 20 hours of road in bus, you can check prices at .br and .br, maybe too
The distance between Sao Paulo and Foz do Iguaçu is 1.030 kms... You also have to know that between Sao Paulo and Foz do Iguaçu are other places very nice to visit, like Curitiba and Florianopolis. I am in Sao Paulo and if you need any other help, contact me.
Sorry I forgot the price... It is R$ 97,00, which is about U$ 55,00 USA dollars
well, I guess, Guilherme said it all and now you just have to go. Spent 3 days a the Falls...one in Argentina, one on the braz. side and don't forget to take the helicopter ride, the Macuco boatride (argentinian side is cheaper!!!!!)..and don't miss the ITAIPU powerplant visit......
Hi! Foz is about 1000 km away from SP. With the bus it will take y about 12-15 hours and cost ~100 R$, by air it's a connection flight over Curitiba, capital of Paraná, here the price changes often(promo, special...between 180 to 900 R$.) It's worth staying a couple of days there to see the falls, the preservation-area in jungle, macuco-trip-tour, Itaipu hidroelectric plant, bird-zoo, etc...Thr city itself is quite boring. Best regards and abraços
Hi and be welcomed to brazil when you come, the distance between sao paulo and foz de iguacu is 510-520 miles (depending on the airport from which you'd be leaving)
as for going there you can go by bus going out from Tiete bus terminal, there you can find buses to just about anywhere (it is huge!) or you can go by air using either of the 3 airports that serve sao paulo (only 2 are near the city-BEWARE THERE IS ONE AIRPORT CALLED CAMPINAS-VIRACOPOS THAT IS 100KM FROM THE CITY CENTER) the cost should on a quick check for a flight by GOL Linhas Aereas going out 5th OCT coming back on the 10th a total of 338R$ (reals) return ticket including all taxes.
maybe if you can send me the actual dates i can give you more information.
i would also sugest checking through travel agencies the prices of a package of flights (should you be going on more then 4 flights) i think TAM is still offering that.
enjoy your stay in brasil (you should now begin calling it by its local name ;-))
Foz do Iguazo is well worth some effort, but how much time do you have? If you take the bus, it will take most of the day. The advantage with that is you will get to see much more of the REAL Brasil. My recommendation would be, if you have the time, take the bus down to Curitiba and across to the falls and then return through Londrina in the interior to Sao Paulo. There are many very different and very interesting places to visit in the interior. With a little research you could plan a fabulous trip, but it WILL TAKE TIME! You could also fly from S.P. but you'll
not see as much.
Foz do Iguazu is far from São Paulo, today in Brazil we have some air companies that are offering attractive prices,I think that you will found a better way to arrive in a city near Foz do Iguaçu, I alread did that trip by buz I live from Belo Horizonte to Foz and I can told you is very far and expend a lot of time and money, I think is better you first try found a way to go by airplain.
Our area of actividy is the central and northern regions of Brazil.
Hi Lia!
I have to agree with my friend Guilherme up here..
The cost of travelling form SP to Foz is around USD$60 and he mentioned Florianopolis and Curitiba... Those are awesome places to visit! And there's more! you should try Balneário Camburiú, and the places around it and Porto Alegre.
If you need anything in São Paulo, let me know!
Have a great trip!
Best Wishes

Gustavo
by bus it will cost R$302,00 return way and it will take about 16 hours to go there.
And by airplane it will cost R$420,00
Hi i live in Rio but i am looking for more and useful information...Ask me later if you can!
Is about 1hr and 20 minutes flight what cost around R$400.00 reais (round trip),it is simple but a very good hotel name DELREY it cost around R$100.00 night, you can take a bus to Iguazu falls almost in front of this hotel, last year I was in Foz de Iguazu and I really recommend.

Hi Lia!!! I'm glad to hear that someone is asking about this amazing place, actually I am from Foz do Iguaçu and I can say to you that you'll love to be in here for a couple days, from SP to IGU by air will take about 1:20 min, prices all depends when you buy your tickets, sometimes you can find it very cheap, much better prices then by bus. Cause of the distance and long time that you will expend on road, you can get tickets from R$ 300,00 both ways by bus traveling from 14 to 17 hours, and you can get tickets from R$ 350,00 both ways, by plane traveling for 1 hour and a half. Here you will be in direct contact with the Nature, we have here one of the three biggest Waterfalls in the World, inside of the Iguassu National Park, where you can do lot's of ecological tours... If you need more information, a place to stay, just contact me...I'll be glad to help you in all you need!!!

Have a Wonderful Trip...

Lilian Regina - Tour Guide in Foz do Iguaçu
Hi,

The distances, options and prices have been mentioned.

Please take note of the places where you can get good prices on airfare:

- Air company - special prices if you browse after 22h00 (GMT -3h) or on weekends.

- big online tour operator - you can compare prices among different companies and they often have very good prices.

And while you are in Sao Paulo, try for very interesting programs, like, for example, graffiti and street art day trips.

Hope it helped.

Cheers,

Flavio Melo
hi.
Foz do Iguaçu tickers are R$ 300,00 (by bus or flight, both same price) but by bus is 18 hours and by flight lesse than 2 hours).
If u go there and like hostels try the hostelling international close to the airport and Iguaçu Falls. it´s one of the best hostels I ever been because of the nature everywhere around u.
Regards and enjoy.
Hello, dear friend! Foz is located in the state of Parana, a little down from the state of Sao Paulo! I believe you would like to take the plane in order to visit Foz! It only takes you about 1 hour and a half to get there! The price range for the airfare is between 915 and 1400 reais, which would be about from 470 to 700 dollars (excepting acommodation, food and souvenirs)! I absolutely know you are going to love the place and keep those memories forever!!!
Please, keep me posted regarding your trip to Brazil!
Best Regards,
Fabio
the flights are not so expensive, so maybe by GOL
If I were you, I wouldn´t waste my time on a bus, get a plane to Curitiba, visit the city, ride on the rainforest train and then proceed to Iguazu Falls. Airplanes are a bit more expensive but are worth the comfort.
You can always contact us at
Terminal Tiete you can take bus to Iguazu, crucero del norte is the company.
São Paulo - foz via plane is about 2 hours.
