Answers

Depends what you call Ancient. New Zealand only has a Western civilization history of around 170 years. So churches are not that old. Many churches are from the late 1800 and early 1900. Christchurch Cathedral and St Mattews in the City in Auckland are worth visiting. Hope this helps
St. Partick's Cathedral and St. Benedicts Cathedral are both lovely Catholic churches in the city although they are not old in a European sense. St. Benedicts is a short walk over the motorway bridge from Karangahape Road and St. Patrick's is more central.
