Dreaming of my upcoming trip to London :) any tips on less-touristy hot spots??

City: London

Constituent state: England

Country: United Kingdom

Sir John Soame Museum and the area around, Leighton House Museum near Holland Park,
Pubs on the river at Wapping or Rotherhithe
Chelsea Physic Garden
Walk along the Grand Union Canal around Regents Park/and or Little Venice
Victoria Park in East London and check out the Olympic 'progress'
Go up Monument for great views of London
I guess it all depends what you are into?
Areas I would recommend include Spitalfields, Marylebone High Street, 2012 Olympic Walk (Go to Tourguides Ltd), Parliament tour on a Saturday - book via Ticketmaster, Wimbledon Tennis Museum - great off season, Hampstead w Kenwood House and much more ! Enjoy, Ingrid
Hi, which part of London are you planning on staying in or do you need ideas for that part as well? As the other guys have stated I'd recommend those places too..but would like to add a few ideas of my own... It depends massively which part of London you choose to crash at..but Nottinghill market is good (can't remember which day it's on though!! I'm sure only sundays....) The NottingHill Arts Club is a cool place to check out. Camden Market is crowded and not so nice as during week days these days..but worth checking out. For a great pub check out the Camden Lock Tavern. East London is a must - Broadway Market very hot right now, as well as Dalston (if you're into arty or a cool scene..). Hampsted Heath totally beautiful any time of year - I'd say a must.. Highgate Village very oldy and unlondony although close to central london (also very posh!)..I could go on and on but will stop there. Please feel free to ask any more info. I absolutely love London so it'd be a pleasure.
You do not say which part of London you will stay in. There would be no point in anybody recommending a hot spot if you will be an hour's journey away from it. It would be cheaper to pay for internetconnection than pay the fares to get there. You can always use Google.
