What to do in winter in seattle?

City: Seattle

State: Washington

Country: United States

Pike Place Market is a must-do. There's food of all different kinds, art, crafts, shops, produce, flowers, and street performers. Be sure to check out the gum wall by Market Theatre. There's a Market Ghost Tour that's fun too.

Argosy Cruises has several cruises if you want to spend some time on the water. The Locks Cruise will take you through the Ballard Locks and up the ship canal. You can enjoy the scenery while staying warm and dry on-board.

Seattle Aquarium is right on the waterfront and is a great aquarium.

At Seattle Center, there is the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and Pacific Science Center. Across the street from EMP is the Duck Tour. That's fun and it will take you out on Lake Union.

Winter is a good time to enjoy Seattle's theatre and music scene. See for more ideas on what to do in Seattle in winter.
I also love to shop at Pike Market, but mostly hang out in Coffee shops and a myriad of wonderful restaurants where you can get great clam or seafood chowder and great teas and coffees. Downtown has an amazing amount of choices, and you can hang out at the bookstore in pioneer square also. Great city any time of year. Be sure to pack warm and comfortable shoes to walk on the hills.
