Question

what is the cheapest transportation to be used in japan?

wanted to know the cheapest means of transportation used in japan will it be taxi, bus or train?

Country: Japan

Answers

For long distances buses are the cheapest. But they aren't particularly comfortable, and riding the bullet train is an experience by itself.

For local areas, trains, subway and buses are all about the same. Probably local trains, buses and subway in that order. Taxis are very expensive, but maybe the only alternative after midnight and before about 5am (Last and first trains). Be careful if you are staying out late, public transport is not 24hrs.
hey thanks a lot, i didn't knew that public transportation doesnot follow after midnight. it was a great help. thanks a lot
