why not take a visit to Tsavo national park at the coast and get to reside at the most beautiful hotel beaches in Mombasa watching the moonlight afta a gud day viewing wild animals.....
for the best wildlife, u can also visit Bamburi nature trail, haller park or butterfly pavillion all at the coastal town of Mombasa and the prices are affordable!!!
The three countries, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa are among the best destinations for wildlife viewing in Africa. However, if you can set aside around 12 days for your trip you can combine a safari to both Kenya and Tanzania visiting the best parks in both countries that is Maasai mara, Nakuru,Amboseli,Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. For more information and a package suggestion you can contact us on or email
I prefer the Maasai Mara but the mara is not so fun when you stay there for more that 4 days. 4 days at max you will have a gr8t time. you can also travel to mombasa have fun at the beach and then travel to Shimba hills depending on which side of the coast you are in. the animals there are very beautiful. If you are within Nairobi you could go to the Nairobi safari walk, Girrafe centre in Karen for the giraffes, wathogs and tortoise, the Ostrich farm in Kitengela, Mamba village for the crocodiles.
Hi i think the best places near coast are tsavo national park, bamburi nature trail, haller park, but there are other places, samburu, masa mara, the aberdare ranges,Nairobi national park, so its good for you to choose, which place you want but incase you need any assistance am very much willing to help.you can contact me.
In Kenya some of the best parks to view wildlife are as follow and I would suggest stay as follows:
- Amboslei (atleast 2 nigths)
- Aberdares/Mt. Kenya (atleast 1 night)
- Samburu (atleast 2 nights)
- Lake Nakuru (atleast 1 night)
- Maasai Mara (atleast 2 nights)

Atleast 9 Days Safari in Kenya will afford you the best chance of seeing all the big five. For more information, plse feel free to contact me

There are alot of attractions in Kenya that one can visit and get an exclusive wildlife viewing moment. The first is maasai mara where you can get close to all the animals, Amboseli, Meru national park, Nakuru national park, Tsavo national park and the Samburu national reserve.

This though is a personal opinion and my response does not include your special interest in the respect of bird watching and other narrow aspects of a wildlife safari. All the wildlife spots in Kenya including many that have not been exploited have different potentials they exhibit.
Are you asking if Kruger park in South Africa is better than anywhere in Kenya or Tanzania?
If so, the answer is no. Kenya is home to the Maasai Mara and Tanzania is home to the Serengetti. Both of those (being part of the same ecosystem) are pretty much unrivaled for sheer numbers and for the ease of finding the animals (You're not looking through thick bush to spot a tiny antelope).
Kruger is great though. There are several different vegetation types, and a great variety of animals and birds.
If you want to see animals, literally in their millions, you have to come to the Maasai Mara in about July or August.
There's nothing else for it.
Please do visit the Masai Mara National park for that unforgetable wildlife experience ,you will literally see all the animals you could ever imagine of.Please contact us for a more detailed analysis,or look at my profile for more details on the best places. Thanks
l would suggest Kenya start with Samburu through the equator for 2days see the reticulated giraffes, kudu, oryx, and all the different types of birds including the smallest bird of pray pigmy falcon, then Nakuru which is a Bird's paradise from here you go to the Mara which you will almost be sure to see the Big five Elephant,Rhino,Leopard,Buffalo and Lion and if it's between July and September you will see the migration which is one of world wonders.
Maasai Mara is definitely the place to go!!! Here you will get the ultimate satisfaction of seeing the big 5 not forgetting the wilderbeeste and Zebras among others
a 2 nights weekend safari to amboseli will spoil u to want more.
Sad sad times for Amboseli right now. Not sure anyone would feel privileged to be there at the moment:
Maasai Mara, samburu, amboseli, meru national parks some of the best animal filled parks... do visit these. better yet we can arrange your travel to this places for you contact

Tanzania:
Nyorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, selous just some of my favourite
Kruger as opposed to the parks/reserves in Kenya / Tanzania is much more organised/structured, in the sense that roads are tarmaced and water holes are built (i.e. man-made!) deliberately close to the road - wildlife viewing in Kenya / Tanzania is closer to the original natural experience.
Which places are the best to visit - this all depends on the seasonal patterns (e.g. July-September would have the Great Migration in Masai Mara Kenya, automatically leading to a less wildlife-crowded Serengeti in Tanzania), your patience (successful wildlife viewing requires time), your luck and your company - never try to safe on the costs for your safari guide, as an enthusiastic & well-experienced game tracker is vital for your success.
As for safari companies almost guaranteeing you to spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, rhino) in certain places: as much as you would like to believe them, be very cautious with those companies. We are talking wildlife here and animals cannot be booked or directed.
Please feel free to ask me more specific questions on Kenya and/or Tanzania.
In any case: Karibu Africa (Welcome to Africa). And enjoy!
If you going to the trouble to travel to Africa, I hope you do visit more than just one country.
In terms of game viewing in concerned, I'll quickly do a run down of MUST SEE game viewing spots on the continent:
In no particular order;
1. Masai Mara & Serengeti - Kenya, Tanzania,
2. Kruger National Park - South Africa,
3. Chobe - Botswana,
4. Selous - Tanzania,
5. Gorongosa - Mozambique,
6. Etosha - Namibia,
7. Kgaligadi - Botswana & South Africa,
All of these are very different one from the other, try and see if you can't visit at least three of them!
The best of the best is Maasai Mara Game Reserve and you may conclude your visit via Nakuru to see the famous 'pinkies' (Flamingoes) and the Nakuru National Park for a variety of Wildlife
Maasai mara in Kenya beats them all because of the new 7th wonder of the world; "the wildbeast migration" they migrate in trillions and they find alot of challenges along the way. find out from me
Hi.
I believe that Kenya and Tanzania both have abundant wildlife. It all depends on the length of the safari that you want to take.in July to mid October you get to see the wildebeest crossing over to Masai Mara from Serengeti.

Masai Mara National Park is home to all the Big five...
Its definitely the best place for wildlife viewing...
The road trip to the Mara is fun..Come face to face with the masai in their natural homes on your way to the Park...
Aberdare National Park offers you a chance to get up close and personal with Elephants. Other animals include Buffalos, Warthogs and antelopes but its the Giant Elephant you will surely enjoy.

Kenya is well known of the largest national parks whereby you will be able to see the animals that you will request.
but now i suggest you to visit masai mara very good in deed
In kenya you are spoilt for choices. Wildlife is varying. from the nothern frontier of samburu, to the pink fringed shores of lake nakuru, to the wild plains of the Mara. wildlife watchin is unparalleled.
In Kenya, you will find a wide variety of National Parks and game reserves.

You will also get to interact with the locals and sample their culture first hand.

Different parks and reserves in the country have different wildlife, especially in Northern Kenya where you find wildlife unique to that area only e.g the somali ostrick with a blue neck, grevy zebra etc

Come to Kenya and you will leave with memories to treasure for the rest of your life, or you might not live for you will want to spend the rest of your life here.

Peace.

Sheila
Hi. As a local, I Love the Maasai Mara. You get to see alot of Wildlife. It is advisable to Stay there for a maximum of three days. I recommend 'Kichwa Tembo 'which is a tented camp as one of the best places to stay.
The Serena Camp is also beautiful due to its location atop a small hill where one gets a teriffic view of the wildlife below.

I also recommend Tsavo National Park and Amboseli both of which i have also visited and enjoyed myself. Serena Kilaguni is a great place to stay while you are in the Tsavo National Park as you get to enjoy viewing wild animals having a drink at the watering hole in the early mornings and in the late evenings. Be weary of the baboons though!
However,I can not guarantee a better time as one would have in the Maasai Mara.
ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE!
