You can go to Corregidor. The ferry leaves at the harbor by the CCP complex by 7am and returns at around 4:30pm. The trip to Corregidor is a popular touristy thing to go to and a good way to learn a bit about history.

You may also want to check for his walking tours. These usually take about 2.5 - 3 hours and you have many tours to choose from: Quiapo, Binondo, CCP, Intramuros, etc. The tours cost P800/head and worth every peso.
you can go to Tagaytay City and view Taal Volcano, said to be the smallest volcano in the world. Tagaytay is a 3 hour drive from Metro Manila. you can leave around 8AM and be in Tagaytay in time for lunch. then come back to Manila late afternoon. ask your hotel about trips to Tagaytay.

if you're in for history, I would also suggest a trip to the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite. this is where Philippine Independence was declared. you can tour it for half a day and still have time to visit De La Salle Museum in Dasmarinas, Cavite. the museum is a showcase of how middle class Filipinos lived during the Spanish colonial era.
hi
should you want to see Vigan and Laoag up northern Philippines to Vigan & Laoag City, you can take the Partas De luxe bus overnight trip (dep Pasay 9pm/arrv Laoag 7am) and I can give you a day tour of Laoag/Vigan. then you can take the Partas bus in the Vigan terminal going back to Manila (bus leaves every hour). should you decide to stay overnight I can also recommend hotels to stay in Vigan or in Laoag. hope you enjoy your trip. Mabuhay!

In Manila alone, you can see/visit a lot of places. There's Intramuros which showcases the not-so-distant past of colonial Philippines, museum in Makati, malls all over Manila, Makati, Ortigas, and Quezon City. There are lots of restaurants that you can choose from - oriental or western, and european cuisine. All of these you can visit in one day. If you want to go our of the metro and see other areas of interests like Baguio, Corregidor, Antipolo Church, Tagaytay, etc., then you have to allot a whole day for each out of town area.

Yes, a day tour is fine although I would recommend an overnight excursion. I suggest you start with this web site and take it from there: . Have fun!
Hi I would recommend that you take the Viaje del Sol road trip. It's a gastronomic and cultural experience down the provinces of Laguna and quezon about 2-3 hours away from Manila (depending on the traffic). You can try the Filipino Food Fushion at Kusina Salud in San City, Laguna, see the pottery of Ugu Bigyan at Tiaong, quezon, Boat ride in one of the 7 lakes of San Pablo, have a chat with metal sculptor Carlitos while you admire his bronze sculptures. If you're interested you may get in touch with me and will be very happy to arrange your itinerary. My number 0921-9907597. Thanks and looking forward to doing the Viaje del Sol with you.

Hi,
I suggest you go to Subic as it is one of the nearest places of interest from Manila. You can combine a trip to Mt. Pinatubo on this day tour. Happy travel!
manila - dumaguete

dumaguete is nice, simple, less expensive and you can visit a lot of places from this location since it is at the center geographically speaking...
